Many practices are identified in bovine production to reduce GHG emissions and improve profitability. However, these individual practices are rarely integrated at whole system level. Monitoring experimental dairy farming systems aims at assessing to which level the implementation of best practices will lower the environmental impacts while maintaining current level of profitability in contrasted pedoclimatic conditions. CAP'2ER tool was used to determine the GHG gross emission, the carbon footprint of the milk, the nitrogen balance and associated indicators in 2 contrasted French dairy systems - Trévarez in Brittany and La Blanche Maison in Normandy. The webinar will describe the impacts of the levers used in both stations to implement a low C footprint dairy systems.
