On March 19, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Medical Program Manager for Afghanistan, Peru, Haiti and Palestine Amber Alayyan delivered a powerful statement during a press conference at the United Nations. She addressed the harsh realities our staff and patients have endured in #Gaza since October — and the overwhelming medical, mental health, and humanitarian needs they’re facing today.

“You have doctors faced with horrific decisions of having to intubate and amputate children and adults without anesthetics in emergency rooms…No hospital in the world, high income, low income could cope with the amount of injuries that we're seeing and the needs that we're seeing on the ground.”
