This iPhone 8 Stopped Working Suddenly | How To Fix An iPhone With No Power

Let’s walk through the full process of diagnosing a No Power scenario on an iPhone 8. This includes diagnosing at the logic board level.

First, we check with the USB Meter (https://amzn.to/3xKji3t) how much current draw there is when trying to charge.
Then we can run a Tristar Tester (https://www.mobilesentrix.com/smartmo...) to see if any issues are detected in the charging circuit.
Next, we take the board out of the housing & test the logic board only with the DC Power Supply / DT880 (https://vccboardrepairs.com/buy-dt880....

Once we see there’s current draw before prompt to boot, we use the Seek Thermal Cam (https://amzn.to/34I4whX) with Macro Lens (https://www.vccboardrepairs.com/buy-m...) and stand (https://vccboardrepairs.com/buy-seek-...) to try to find the source of heat.

In this case, we found GSMPA_K was shorted. So we replaced it... but then we ran into trouble.
