Panelist Presentations:

Melissa Murray, Township of Algonquin Highlands, ON – Learn about EPR transition for a municipality with a depot collection system continuing to provide recycling services through an agreement with Circular Materials (CM).

Isabelle Godin, Kent Regional Service Commission, NB – Hear about the transition experience as a service provider to CM, managing curbside waste for 7 municipalities in eastern NB.

Deanna Dakin, Region of Waterloo, ON – Ontario’s Blue box program started in the Region in 1983 in the City of Kitchener. Hear about this upper-tier municipality’s recent experience in transitioning blue box responsibilities to CM and how it affected the waste management services that the Region provides for its seven lower tier municipalities (3 cities and 4 townships).

Beth Goodger, Waste Management Consultant: Beth is a Waste Management Consultant working from Dillon’s Hamilton, Ontario office. She has over 36 years of municipal solid waste experience and transitioned from municipal government in 2019. She has been assisting municipalities in Change Management planning for transition of recycling program responsibilities to producers and is a certified Change Management practitioner.
