Super Mario Land is a classic video game released for the Game Boy in 1989. Developed and published by Nintendo, the game follows the adventures of Mario, the iconic plumber, as he embarks on a mission to rescue Princess Daisy from the clutches of the evil alien Tatanga. Super Mario Land features four worlds, each with three levels, and introduces new enemies and power-ups to the Mario franchise. The first level of Super Mario Land is called "Birabuto Kingdom" and is set in a desert landscape. The level is filled with obstacles, such as rolling rocks and pits, and enemies, including Goombas and Koopa Troopas. The player controls Mario as he runs, jumps, and collects coins and power-ups like mushrooms and fire flowers. The goal of the level is to reach the end flagpole, which marks the completion of the level. Along the way, Mario can also find hidden areas that contain additional coins and power-ups.
