After a 30th birthday party that ended with a surprise engagement, Allison and Drew immediately began planning their dream spring wedding. The Dallas-based couple knew they wanted to keep their nuptials local, so their first priority was finding a centrally located Dallas wedding venue. Though they planned on visiting a few different downtown Dallas wedding venues, they decided to wed at Arlington Hall at Turtle Creek Park after their very first tour. Allison and Drew fell in love with the mansion wedding venue because of its prime location, historic significance, and indoor and outdoor capabilities. Once they booked their wedding venue, the duo brought on wedding planner Kristin Butler of Fabulous Fete to help design their magical Texas wedding. With a mid-April wedding date, Allison and Drew wanted their guests to feel like they were transported to an English garden. As for the spring wedding color scheme, the two set their sights on a pastel wedding theme, with pops of lavender, blues, greens, and yellows bringing life to the outdoor ceremony and tent wedding reception. Allison’s bridal party stayed true to the theme, donning dusty blue bridesmaid dresses. Allison walked down the aisle in a stunning lace open back wedding dress while Drew opted for a navy blue wedding suit. From the fresh color palette to the purple butterfly wedding decorations, this seasonal Dallas bash truly had it all.
