Back Take COUNTER with Classic Jujutsu Throw • YUKI ORE

Описание к видео Back Take COUNTER with Classic Jujutsu Throw • YUKI ORE

Working off the arm drag, this time the technique isn't as successful. The attacker re-drags or latches on quickly in an attempt to "take the back" or get behind. In order to immediately eliminate any advantage the attacker might gain, the Tori (defender) adapts and responses immediately with the classic jujutsu throw known as Yuki Ore.

HISTORICAL NOTE: Yuki Ore is preserved in preserved in the traditional Kodokan Judo kata known as Koshiki-no-kata (also known as Kito-ryu no kata) but is rarely (if ever) seen outside of kata. An exception to this was the great Master Kyuzo Mifune who is said to have utilized it and demonstrates it in non-kata form in his classic book, "The Canon of Judo." Shihan Paul Arel, the founder of Jukido Jujitsu, was fond of Yuki Ore and preserved it as a relevant throw for modern self-defense. Arel Shihan also did this with another throw rarely seen outside of the Jukido system of jujitsu, Magaru Karada.

Video is from the July 23, 2022 Yudanshakai class at the JUKIDO JUJITSU ACADEMY in Palm Coast / Flagler County Florida USA.
