ONGC partners with BP to increase Mumbai High oil and gas production by 60% over the next decade, leveraging BP's expertise in reservoir management and optimization. There is a possibility of underground natural gas, petroleum and mineral reserves in the coastal areas of Gonda Nawabganj region of UP. ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation) has started seismic survey and 3D mapping to confirm this. With the start of the process, people have started cherishing hopes for the future.

Indian companies paid freight costs of $85 billion in the financial year 2019/20, of which $75 billion was paid for use of foreign vessels. India's oil and shipping ministries agreed that all state-run oil companies and the planned company work together.
