Elena explains the way to explore zero-waste design through draping the garment on half-scale dress-form. She drapes a jacket/top that consists of few rectangular pieces of fabric.
The prototype has been developed into actual garment - Kimono-Jacket.
This demo is a part of free 'Zero-waste fashion' session in Saigon for designers and students with Vietnamese translator.
What is Zero Waste Fashion Design? The answer is simple - it is method of designing that leaves no waste; the designer completely utilizes chosen piece of fabric.
