** The small birds you are seeing in the nest are yellow-billed magpies who moved into the area & built their own nests on Eagle Island in 2019. There are also Grackles, Flickers, Belted Kingfishers, Turkey Vultures, Canada Geese & a variety of waterfowl in the area

History: Guardian is Liberty's 3rd mate, they first paired up in February 2019 after her 2nd mate Spirit disappeared & was presumed dead.
Liberty's Mates: 1st mate~ Patriot 2004-2013; Her 2nd mate~ Spirit 2013-2019; Her 3rd mate Guardian 2019-present.

Liberty has raised *29 offspring with her 3 mates, including 4 sets of triplets '09 -'10 - '15 -'21.
*(3 eaglets perished before fledging Solo in 2019, Luna & Sol in 2024)

Liberty has built 6 nests since 2005: 3 in Turtle Bay Area in Cottonwood Trees (current nest 80 feet high), 3 Nests at Riverview Golf Course in Gray Pine Trees (Alternate Nest Site 2015-2019).
