For my Video class we were assigned to make a 5 minute video about a picture book where we would read or get someone else to read it for us. Naturally, being me I did a book that I could talk about politics with; and did "The Rainbow Fish" by Marcus Phister. The book has long been slandered as dangerous and non-sensical despite having a pretty good message. And I personally believe said message is a Libertarian one about self reliance, community building, and collectivism. In this video I explain why I think this is the case and why it's a good thing that these values are taught.
I also dismiss the books many critics who's insults against the book are often disingenous at best and flat out incorrect at worst. And to do so I cite historical Libertarian works to explain my counter argument.
I apologize if this video feels a bit thrown togethor, as time constraints put preassure on me to get the script, storyboard, timeline, and video all done in about 3 weeks which combined with other school work wasn't exactly the easiest thing in the world to do. Mabye one day I will remake the video as this is technically my first real political analysis of something that wasn't just me posting a video in response to a video. I considered this a fun experiment and I actually quite enjoy writing and might even make it a career in the future; so expect more videos like this.
