Welcome to our channel- 'The Saxena Stories'. Our love for travel and food made us start this channel and to document our journeys. We enjoy travelling to new places, exploring Indian Culture & heritage and trying out new cuisines and local food. We have been taking road trips for last 13 years including road trips taken by us during our stay in USA for 2 years where we have taken road trips across America and visited San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Mt. Raineer, and the beautiful city of Leavenworth.. In our quest to explore the Indian travel destinations and to showcase the rich Indian heritage and food culture, we take road trips to different parts of the country. Road Trips be like a lot of fun, thrill and new learning especially when road trips with kids, they tend to learn new things.
Till now we have taken various short road trips in India and 4 long distance road trips which include our trips from –

- Noida to Mcleodganj
- Noida-Bangalore-Mysore-Coorg-Ooty-Coaimbatore-Bangalore-Noida
- Noida-Udaipur-Mt.Abu-Jaipur
- Noida-Haridwar-Rishikesh-Mussorie-Panipat-Noida

In this phenomenal Indianroad trip, we are starting our journey from Greater Noida west to Kashmir and will take multiple stops in between. The trip starts with Mata Vaishno Devi Darshan in Katra and will further continue.

We visited Mata Vaishno Devi in Katra and spent a day Katra. During our Katra stay, we chose the Hotel Fern Residency which is a beautiful hotel and great for family stays. We also visited Baba Dhansar Mandir and took a dip in the Karua jheel.

After 2-day stay in Katra we are leaving for Pahalgam now and will explore the beautiful valley of Kashmir.

You can reach Pahalgam from Jammu in following ways-
- Jammu to Pahalgam by Bus
- Jammu to Pahalgam by train
- Jammu to Pahalgam by shared taxi

The Jammu to Pahalgam distance is roughly 160 kms which will be covered in 6 hours via Anantnag. Jammu to Pahalgam Amarnath Yatra also follows this same route and this is the route yatris have to take for Amarnath Yatra. Katra to Pahalgam bus also operates on this route but will take more time to reach.
