I wanted to create this video because I've been using the VIA app for the past few months and it's been a huge convenience. VIA describes themselves as "public transportation that comes to you." The app is connected to your Seattle Orca Card, and it operates by a tap on, tap off system, just like the buses and link light rail. The app is limited to residents in South Seattle ( Rainier Beach, Skyway, Renton, and Tukwila) and will only drop you off at specific locations like the Link stations. In this video, I take a VIA from my home to the Rainier Beach Station, and ride the LINK up to Capitol Hill. The entire trip cost me $2.75. It operates much like uber or lyft, you order a car on your phone and it picks you up nearby and takes you directly to your destination. In the video, I'll show how I took the VIA to the Rainier Beach station, and back home after my trip.

The trip takes me to Capitol Hill for a lunch meeting at Kobuta & Ookami, a brand new restaurant that serves Pork and Chicken Katsu. I thought it was fantastic because they offer multiple cuts of pork to try and their tomato sauce and and curry were delicious.
