Cobras looking to strike on the Highveld

The Cape Cobras will be without two quality fast bowlers for their Momentum One-Day Cup opener against the bizhub Highveld Lions at Bidvest Wanderers on Saturday, but are backing a new recruit to fill the void with aplomb.The Cobras beefed up their bowling stocks by luring Wayne Parnell from the Warriors in the off-season, but will have to wait for the benefits as he joins fellow left-armer Beuran Hendricks on the injured list.They will therefore be looking to a lesser-known talent recruited from the Dolphins to help get their season off to a strong start.The Cobras have made the final of both limited-overs competitions for two seasons running, and their ability to continually attract fresh talent makes them one of the obvious favourites this time around.
