We visit Ellenbrae Station and try their scones which are reputed to be the best on the Gibb and I will say they did not disappoint. The main area is an oasis on the Gibb with lush gardens and grass, something we have not seen for a few weeks! The facilities at Ringer's Camp Ground are great but don't bother with the little swimming hole there unless it's just for a quick dip to cool off, the other watering hole 5km from the station is well worth a visit, pack a lunch and spend a few hours there.
