Ford 8.8 IRS Rebuild

Описание к видео Ford 8.8 IRS Rebuild

I decided to rebuild my own rear end after getting a few quotes to do it for $500. The process wasn't too bad, and so far I've driven nearly 500 miles on it with about 600whp and it feels great and is very quiet. I had access to most of these tools which helped, but I did have to buy some specialty tools that I didn't have. This should be a fairly complete list of tools needed to do this job:

Tools needed:
9/16 wrench x2
hammer (hard and soft)
brass punch
chisel
1/2 impact with 27mm and 19mm
Press
bearing press kit
bearing seporator
large breaker bars x2
three jaw puller
pinion holding tool
beam style torque wrench
a few m10 bolts to hold the pinion holding tool to the pinion flange
Axle remover tool
slide hammer
micrometer
torque wrench good for 100 ft lbs
Dial Indicator with Magnetic Base
A small pry bar

Parts needed:
Rebuild kit
axle bearing and seal kit
Black RTV
Differential - Eaton detroit tru track (optional - this is what I used)
Ring and pinion - Ford racing (optional - this is what I used)

If there's some interest I'll expand on those part numbers for the tools or the rebuild parts.
