Game Information:

Kirby Air Riders is a new Kirby spin-off coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on November 20th, 2025, serving as a true successor to the GameCube’s Kirby Air Ride. The game marks Masahiro Sakurai’s return to the Kirby series for the first time in over two decades. Two dedicated Kirby Air Riders Directs aired in August and October 2025, alongside regular updates on the English and Japanese official accounts and the Nintendo Today! app.

The game features four main modes. Air Ride delivers classic high-speed races across expanded, detailed tracks. Top Ride brings back fast, top-down courses built for quick, chaotic action. And City Trial returns as a large open arena where riders search for upgrades before a final randomized event.

The roster includes returning stars like Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight, Bandana Waddle Dee, Magolor, Susie, Gooey, and Daroach, plus new fully playable characters such as Cappy, Starman, and Lololo & Lalala. Each rider has unique stats and a signature Special Move.

All riders can also use Copy Abilities, adding combat variety. Core abilities like Fire, Cutter, and Fighter offer steady offense; speed-focused abilities such as Jet and Wheel boost mobility; while tactical tools like Bomb, Freeze, and Needle control space. Rare abilities including Mike or Sleep can swing a race instantly when used wisely.

With modernized mechanics, expanded abilities, and a broader cast, Kirby Air Riders aims to evolve the original game while staying true to its high-speed roots.
