You may have ran into a strange battle while you were running through the world map, where a strange red guy asked you a question. That strange battle is the Ragtime Mouse. In this video, I show all the questions he can ask and how to defeat him.

You can encounter the Ragtime Mouse in any forest. It is a random occurrence. Here how I found him fairly quickly. I would go to a forest and encounter a battle. If it was the Ragtime Mouse, then hooray! If it wasn't then oh well. Each time, I would only encounter one battle at that forest, then I would fly to another continent and get into one battle in a forest there. It seemed to make him appear quite often.

If you answer all his questions correctly, you will defeat him. In total, you will receive around 80-90 thousand gil, and 22 thousand exp, along with a Protect Ring.
