So here is how to get brand collabs on social media with a small following (I have under 2k followers on both my Instagram and YouTube channel). Brand collabs are so so fun, and can either be gifted collabs or paid collabs (I discuss both). Over the past 3 months I've secured nearly 25 collaborations from doing these things, and have some big well known brands lined up too! Even with a small social media following, micro influencing is such a big thing- as long as you have an engaged audience and are active on your social media pages, many brands will see the value in that even if they're huge! I feel like 1,000 followers on instagram is an ideal minimum for Instagram, and a lot of brands won't consider those below but there are most definitely exceptions as I had around 600 followers when I first got approached. If you aren't at 1k yet there are easy ways to grow your page through being consistent, creating high quality content, engaging with pages you like, and utilising hashtags. Hopefully these tips will explain how to get brands to notice you on Instagram/ Youtube- and how to become a microinfluencer!
