Sam Raimi's vision for Spider-Man 4 was ambitious and would have featured some exciting elements, though the full details were never fully realized due to the project's cancellation.

The main antagonist of Spider-Man 4 was set to be the Vulture, with John Malkovich cast in the role. This would have been a more comic accurate portrayal of the character compared to the version later seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming. The film would have also featured the Vulture's daughter as a major character played by Anne Hathaway.

Bruce Campbell, a frequent collaborator of Raimi. was set to have a memorable cameo as mysterio in the film.

Raimi was determined to distance himself from the mixed reception of Spider-Man 3. He had already begun pre-production on Spider-Man 4, with concept art and models created for the Vulture's appearance.

Sony's demands for a 3D release and disagreements over the production timeline and Sam Raimi couldn't meet the 2011 release date. this led to Raimi's departure and the eventual cancellation of SpiderMan 4.
