The Nazi dictatorship sought to radically transform the arts and cultural life in Germany in the 1930s and 1940s. This meant strongly backing artists and forms of art that conformed to Nazi racial and political criteria and acting brutally against artists and forms of art that did not. Among the topics to be covered with Dr. Morowitz are:

1. Hitler's influence on the direction taken by the arts in Nazi Germany.
2. the notorious 1937 Nazi exhibit on so-called "Degenerate Art."
3. The Nazis' confiscation and theft of artworks from Jewish and foreign owners.
