Today we're taking an extended look at the Bestiary for The Strange RPG from Monte Cook Games. This 160-page supplement contains narrative details and stats for dozens of creatures, many inspired by various myths, legends, or fictional creatures, but alongside numerous original creations as well.

As with the Numenera Bestiaries, I really enjoyed the variety and creativity of this supplement. The usual helpful rules cross-references, GM Intrusion examples, and narrative info on motives and interactions are all present and accounted for, making the book super easy to use as a GM. Of course these beasts are cross-compatible with the Cypher System more generally, so if some of the contents here appeals to you, you can certainly use it even if your campaign isn't set in The Strange setting at all!

Well worth the purchase, though admittedly not that easy to find here in the UK. I'm thankful I did find a physical copy though, it'll certainly find use at my table.
