Franz Schubert: Sonata in A minor D 784 in (posthumously published as Op. 143)
I. Allegro giusto
II. Andante
III. Allegro vivace

This eerie sonata, composed in 1823, came out out of a troubling time for the composer and defines a kind of turning point in his piano works. After having struggled with the illness that would eventually lead to his death five and a half years later, Schubert's music began to change into the profound and distinct late style that we are familiar with from such works as the piano sonatas D 894 or D 960.
Korean pianist Ju Ae Ha, assistant professor at Universität der Künste Berlin, creates a perfect rendition of this masterpiece and leads us through worlds of emotions using the C. Bechstein concert grand D 282.
