Nadia shares her own 'brutiful tale' from the days of the 6-day war while being a 2-year old in Jordan, the resilience of her mother and her dad, Nadim, finding his way to the safety of West Norwood, and accepting invitations to meaningful events since October 8th onwards. Seeing beyond the poison, not being afraid to speak up, and throwing the small pebbles that make ripples - ripples which very definitely make waves. Thank you Nadia Sawalha for not being afraid, for your kind heart, moral clarity, and using your voice and platform for the sake of humanity - for the good of the whole. You are a shining example of what it means to be #humanKIND and I am so grateful for your presence here today, your support, and a life-long connection that began with an optician, my dad! Who would have thought we would be here, all these years later.

After the talks in the Town Hall, with myself, Nadia Sawalha and Oru co-founder and CEO, Vibushan Thirukumar, we headed to the rooftop to paint the *predesigned 3 metre silk under the summer solstice sunshine to the sounds of ‪@paolotossio‬ - you can now enjoy the first hour of Paolo's brutiful Arabic/Palestine infused grooves mix at his soundcloud:

This silk painted mural features artwork by over 30 audience members from previous Brutiful Tales talks and the 'arms' by Palestinian artist, Sliman Mansour (with permission) - the Separation Wall artwork that never happened, now on a 'peace of silk' in South London
