How to Raise Your Silky Pole Saw (Short Version) silkysawsaustralia

Shenae demonstrates a neat way to raise your Silky Pole to full height.

With the bigger pole saws, you may need something to stand on to use this method. Most of the contractors I meet stand in the back of the ute but one organised crew had a stand like you see Shenae on.

Step 1. Open all the levers.

Step 2. Press the button and raise the poles. Then lock the lowest lever.

Step 3. Press the button again and raise the pole. Then lock the second lever.

Step 4. Press the button again and raise the top pole extension all the way until the button clicks into place. Then lock the top lever.

Step 5. Go back to the middle extension, unlock the lever and raise the pole until the button locks into place. Then lock the lever.

Step 6. Go back to the handle extension, unlock the lever and raise the extension until the button locks into place. Then lock the lever.

Shenae has now extended the pole to its full height. We now know that the roof is higher than 6.3 metres, probably closer to 7 metres.

This technique can be used with all of the telescopic Silky Pole Saws.
