Robert Navarro’s passion for kids as a music teacher and his love of jazz brings him to the Space Coast from Port St. Lucie to help raise funds for Student Jazz Workshops which are provided by the Space Coast Jazz Society, free of charge. These workshops are available to Brevard County students, grades 4-12.

This concert was a high caliber performance with a variety of straight ahead jazz and latin jazz.

Robert Navarro is an accomplished New York City performer with more than 25 years of experience as a professional pianist, teacher, arranger and producer. Other members of his band include Luis Disla on the alto sax, Alexis Fajardo on violin, percussionist Chino Nunez, bass player Salvador "Sal" Cuevas and drummer Albert Delgado.

Robert Navarro holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The City College of New York and a Master of Arts from New York University. He has also studied at Mannes College, The New School for Music (Extension Division for Jazz Studies), and Manhattan School of Music (Classical Studies).

Robert produced a Grammy winning album for Conjunto Clasico in 2004. He then received a Grammy in 2007 as an arranger with Bobby Cruz Romanticos de Ayer, Hoy y Siempre Song Envidia. In 2011, he received an award from the Treasure Coast International Film Festival for the musical arrangement of the song “City Within a Dream” for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture. In 2014, he wrote a original symphonic composition for the "Retire 21 of baseball Player Roberto Clemente. This symphonic composition was performed at Lehman College in New York City. Robert has a Latin Jazz Cd in the market "Caminando" Vol.1, an original composition.

He has performed with legendary artists Johnny Pacheco, Conjunto Clasico, Jose Mangual Jr., Pete “Conde” Rodriguez, Charanga America, Angel Canales, Azuquita, Machito and Orquesta, Mon Rivera, and Willie Colon. He has toured with Celia Cruz (South America) Ray Barreto, Grupo Fascinacion, Frankie Ruiz, Eddie Santiago, Santiago Ceron, and many local bands. Space Coast Jazz Society concerts are open to the public and no reservations are needed. Admission is paid at the door students are free. The Cocoa Beach Country Club is located at 5000 Tom Warriner Blvd., Cocoa Beach.
