Makar Sankranti मैं क्यों उड़ाते हैं इस दिन पतंग

For years, it has been a tradition in India to celebrate every important or non-important event of the world. The residents of Bharatvarsha are termed as the merriest people who associate every celestial event with a festival. Be it the harvesting of sugarcane in the form of Lohri festival or be it the observance of fast during the transition of seasons as Navratri, every single event has been associated with a scientific reason as well as a way to be happy and jolly. After going through with the festivals of farmers that is Lohri in the previous night, the people of India prepare themselves for Makar Sankranti. Makar Sankranti falls on January 14 every year. But this date is consistent for some 100 years or so. In the 17th century, Makar Sankranti was around January 9 and in the 27th century, it shall be around January 23. It keeps on shifting, which is contrary to the belief that it stays on the same day.


14 जनवरी को मकर संक्रांति का त्योहार हर्षो-उल्लास के साथ मनाया जाएगा, जिसके लिए इस वक्त तैयारियां जोरों पर हैं। बाजारों में तिल-गुड़, चूड़े, गजक-मूंगफली की भरमार है तो वहीं दूसरी ओर पतंगों की दुकानें भी सज गई हैं। लाल-पीली, हरी-गुलाबी पतंगों से सजी दुकानें इस वक्त हर किसी का मन मोह रही है लेकिन क्या कभी आपने सोचा है कि मकर संक्रांति पर पतंग क्यों उड़ाते हैं और इसका इस त्योहार से क्या रिलेशन है, आखिर क्यों संक्रांति के दिन बड़े-बूढ़े भी बच्चों को पतंग उड़ाने से रोकते नहीं है और तो और वो खुद भी इस खेल में बड़ी खुशी से शामिल होते हैं। दरअसल मान्यता है कि पतंग खुशी, उल्लास, आजादी और शुभ संदेश की वाहक है, संक्रांति के दिन से घर में सारे शुभ काम शुरू हो जाते हैं और वो शुभ काम पतंग की तरह ही सुंदर, निर्मल और उच्च कोटि के हों इसलिए पतंग उड़ाई जाती है। काम की शुभता के लिए तो कहीं-कहीं लोग तिरंगे को भी पतंग रूप में इस दिन उड़ाते हैं।
