This CeKTER KT Academy webinar, "Turning Research Findings Into Implementation Activities - The "Knowledge to Action" Cycle: A Conversation with Dr. Ian Graham.", was presented live on May 12, 2022.

This hour-long interactive webinar was one of a series of events in the Knowledge Implementation Track of the KT Academy at CeKTER and was designed for employment-focused NIDILRR grantees, and their related collaborators.

The Knowledge to Action Cycle (KTA) breaks down the implementation process into 7 actionable phases starting with determining the knowledge-practice/policy gap through to sustaining the change.

The one hour conversation between Dr. Marianne Farkas of Boston University's Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Dr. Ian Graham was presented in the form of a series of questions and answers about KTA and how to use the framework to ensure that research findings guide change in practice.

About Dr. Ian Graham, PhD.
Dr. Graham is a Distinguished Professor in the School of Epidemiology & Public Health and School of Nursing at the University of Ottawa and a Senior Scientist at the Centre for Practice Changing Research at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. His areas of research are health services and knowledge translation/implementation science. Dr. Graham studies factors influencing the use of research and evidence in decision making and ways to promote its use. He was Vice President of Knowledge Translation and Public Outreach at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. Dr. Graham has been inducted as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, New York Academy of Medicine and Royal Society of Canada.

The Center on Knowledge Translation for Employment Research (known as CeKTER, and pronounced, "sector") is a NIDILRR-funded Knowledge Translation (KT) Center for NIDILRR grantees that focus on employment. Our job is to to help NIDILRR employment grantees focused on disability employment research be more effective at sharing the results of their research and together, we can improve employment outcomes for people with disabilities.
