A common theme in the discussions about Myka have to do with unknowns, expectations, actions and more. This is a conversation where my dad and I discuss the expectations and unknowns in the Chinese adoption process. My dad went through the adoption process in the 90's and shares his experiences. One thing I'd like to note is that these are his personal lived experiences. His experience does not apply to all adoptive situations, nor does my experience as an adoptee apply to all adoptees. I made this video to hopefully add meaningful perspective to the conversation. Adoptee voices are often overshadowed, so I also am releasing a video with my adoptee friend, Sydney, tomorrow!
