Moths are always drawn to flames, rushing toward bonfires and candles, ultimately becoming part of the light as the fire consumes them. This piece employs the moth as a metaphor to explore the compulsive tendency of individuals to be irresistibly attracted to that which is both beautiful and perilous. In this repetitive cycle, the exhilaration and agitation felt as one approaches danger culminate in a pathological sense of pleasure and satisfaction at the moment of self-destruction.
