I highly recommend the book Geological Field Sketches and Illustrations A Practical Guide by Genge, but if you're in a hurry or want to watch someone do a sketch and see what they are thinking when they sketch, watch this video. I say "while I'm gone" because I'm out of town this week and my students have to watch it for homework!
