Inclusive social development is one of the focal areas of interventions of Caritas India Global Programme. Inclusive education is marked as a key need for the adolescents in the target villages of Bihar state. Global Program India introduced a Learning Support Centre to enhance the learning outcomes of non-school-going children and school drop-outs to provide support and referred to government /private schools.

Children between 6-14 years coming to these centres belong to Dalit and Maha Dalit communities in Bihar. The Centre is seen as a comprehensive solution to address the multiple issues of school drop-out such as economic backwardness, parent motivation, and absence of functional schools in flood and drought-prone villages. By engaging the volunteers, and community mobilizers, the centre is ensuring regular learning of the children and the community stakeholders are taking ownership of the Centre.
