Gareth Samuel: Electrical Secrets of Vesta | Thunderbolts

Discovered in 1802 by Heinrich Olbers, Vesta has a diameter of 326 miles second only behind Ceres as one of the largest objects in the asteroid belt. It constitutes a staggering 9% of the mass of the belt and is the brightest asteroid visible from Earth.

Contributor and EU advocate, Gareth Samuel, host of "See the Pattern”, describes four different ideas on what formed this large asteroid and how its secrets may reveal cataclysmic electrical events that shaped our solar system.
