Aloo Cha Fatfata (Alu Chi Bhaji) is a traditional Maharashtrian delicious main course recipe where Alu (colocasia leaves) are cooked in coconut paste and Mix Masala
Ingredients:
8-10 Colocasia leaves
1/2 Cup Coconut Paste
1/2 Cup Soaked Groundnuts
1 1/2 Cup Water
1 tbsp Oil
1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Mix Masala
1 tbsp Jaggery
2 tbsps Tamarind Paste
Coriander Leaves
Salt to taste
जबरदस्त नारळी भात | Sweet Coconut Rice | Narali Bhat
Narali bhat ia another traditional, authentic Maharashtrian recipe. Narali bhat is generally made on Shravan pournima or narali pournima.
Ingredients:
• 2 tsp Ghee
• 3~4 Cloves
• 2~3 Green cardamom
• 1 Cinnamon stick
• 1 cup shredded fresh Coconut
• 1 cup gur
• Dry fruits (Almonds, cashew nuts & raisins)
• 1 cup Boiled rice
• Saffron milk (10-12 saffron strands soaked in milk)
गव्हाची खीर | Gavhachi kheer | How to make Wheat Kheer
Gavhachi kheer is a traditional, authentic Maharashtrian dessert.
Ingredients:
• 1 cup Whole wheat
• 3 cups Water
• 4 tsp Ghee / Clarified butter
• 1 tbsp Chopped Almonds
• 1 tbsp Chopped Cashew nuts
• 1 tbsp Raisins
• Water
• 1 cup Gudh / Jaggery
• 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
• Milk
Peanut Curry/शेंगदाण्याची आमटी उपवासासाठी / व्रत के लिये मुंगफली की कढी
Shengdanyachi Amti pairs up well with tempting dishes such as sabudana khichdi, varicha bhat, and sabudana appe or vada.
