In the fourth and final installment of this series covering my trip to the 2023 National Narrow Gauge Convention I make a trip to Chama, NM to ride the world-famous Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad, the second preserved portion of the Rio Grande narrow gauge, and the highest open-air mountain crossing by rail in the continental US. This was not only the culmination of a fantastic trip to the convention, but the fulfillment of a lifelong dream, along with the my trip to the Durango and Silverton.
