Just finished a complete nut and bolt, rotisserie restoration 2 months ago. We have over 300 pictures of the process. They started with a rust free, original metal GTO with PHS documentation saying it was born a red 400 HO, 4 speed car!

EXTERIOR: The restorer claimed it has all of its original metal, no patch panels. It is absolutely straight; with no bubbles, damage, or issues. The panels line up great. Repainted its original Regimental Red without a vinyl top. It is polished like red glass. Every piece of chrome and stainless is new or restored like new. All the glass was replaced. All new weatherstrips and seals. New grills and correct T-3 headlights in front. It has a muscle car stance sitting on new 15 inch Cragars. New BFG tires, fatter in back.

INTERIOR: It was gutted to a shell and completely restored to like new factory condition. It was lined with sound deadener, the metal was repainted, wiring was replaced. The dash area is all restored. It is a factory rally dash with gauges and tachometer. Upgraded reproduction Am-Fm radio, $450 deluxe steering wheel. Rebuilt seats with a little extra bolster. New upholstery, door panels, headliner, and carpet. All the bits and pieces are new too: visors, armrests, pedal trim, handles, mirror etc.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Detailed to new factory specs, it is fresh! Period correct 400 block rebuilt back to H.O. specs: 670 heads, ram air exhaust manifolds, restored quadrajet carb. Correct chrome air cleaner and valve covers. Correct shroud, radiator, fan, reproduction hoses and clamps. Reproduction spring clamp battery cables. it features power steering and power brakes with a cadmium plated booster. Every component is proper, new, or restored. All the metal surfaces are painted smooth and tidy.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's complete and pristine. The red paint is like glass. Inside is spotless metal with a tidy spatter finish. New wiring, mat, seat divider, weatherstrip, jack and trunk latch. They even sprung for a 5th matching new Cragar and BFG tire for a spare.

UNDERSIDE: We have pictures of this as a bare rust free shell flipped on a rotisserie. The floors and chassis were prepped and painted smooth semi-gloss black. There's not even any pitting. All the components were rebuilt or replaced including the entire suspension and steering. Upgraded quick ratio steering box. The entire brake system was replaced and upgraded with disc at all four wheels. The entire fuel system was replaced. It has a custom dual exhaust with fat pipes, Flowmaster mufflers and the tailpipes are tucked up neatly with turn down tips. Looking up at the motor it is spotless, starter looks new. Correct, dated Muncie 4-speed was taken apart and serviced. Rebuilt drive shaft with correct assembly line markings. Correct 3.55 Saf-T-Track rear end was given new bearings and seals.

SERVICE: We inspected the car gave it some shakedown miles. We replaced the valve cover gaskets, ignition switch, the horns, tachometer, door lock cylinders, front brake caliper and hose. We repaired the temp gauge and adjusted the e-brake.

CONCLUSION: If you want the best, here it is. The detail is fresh, looks like it was just finished, because it was! To restore one like this you would spend far more than we are asking, you would be waiting over a year to only hope it turns out this nice. Not to mention it's a red H.O. 4-speed!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
