Fitting a Scala Rider Qz into a SHOEI GT-Air full face. Universal bluetooth. Ear pads modification

I already had a Cardo Scala Rider Qz bluetooth and wanted to install it into my GT-Air, but it proved more difficult than putting it in my HJC FG-17.
The stiff/hybrid boom mic that comes with the Qz didn't work with the GT-Air because it pushes the hard edge of the cheek pad out to where it scratches my ear when I take my helmet off. I ended up ordering the thin-wired corded mic that Cardo Systems offers to replace the hybrid boom mic.
Putting the speakers on the top of the ear pads are too tight for me. So I decided to put them under the padding. I saw the bluetooth system that Sena makes custom for this helmet (MSRP $300!) and it replaces those ear pads with speakers that clip right in, so I figured there's got to be a way to do something similar with universal speakers. I found that you can tear the ear pads apart to do so and put the speakers under the plastic retainer clips.
