He Aloha Nou E Kalanianaʻole - Live Aloha Hawaiian Festival

The wāhine of Hālau Hula Ka Lei Mokihana I Ka Ua Noe performed at the annual Live Aloha Festival in Seattle, WA. They had the great privilege of learning this mele that honors Prince Kūhiō Kalanianaʻole and his involvement in the Hawaiian homestead act from the composer himself, Kumu Hula Kalani Hiapo.

They traveled to Oʻahu and were taught in the Nānākuli -Waianae area and were able to see the place names of this mele in person.

Hālau Hula Ka Lei Mokihana I Ka Ua Noe is a Hawaiian hula school with locations throughout Washington State and in Las Vegas, Nevada. Our purpose is to perpetuate the Hawaiian culture and our hula legacy that has been passed down by many Kumu Hula (hula teachers) before us.
