Drawing And Painting With Colored Pencil by Kristy Ann Kutch Art Book Review

It's important to note this book is NOT a step-by-step instruction on how to draw a particular waterfall or to create a specific still life. Rather, the book guides you through all the basics you need to know so that you can then tackle whatever projects you prefer.

Kristy Ann explains what types of pencils work best in which situations, what paper types give which effects, and what other items you might want. Then she goes over a variety of techniques to get certain looks and feels to your art.

There are sections on basic art concepts like shading, layout, composition, color wheels, and so on. So even if you're just starting from scratch, she'll help you along.

Even more advanced artists will pick up tips and ideas from her later pages.

Well recommended.
