Apatani is one of the major tribes of Arunachal Pradesh; most Northeastern state of India Bordering China, Maynmar and Bhutan. They dwell in beautiful Ziro Valley, around 110 km away from state Capital, Itanagar.
This talk reveals the status of Apatani Language which is considered to be one of the endangered language.
It is supplemented by a short film on how the modern education and outside cultural influences are pushing the lesser known culture and language towards oblivion.
It is followed by a social song scripted by a cultural activist based on his experiences in cultural activism amongst the Apatani Community.
