Schindler 3300 & 5500 Comparison (UPDATED!)

Описание к видео Schindler 3300 & 5500 Comparison (UPDATED!)

An update video guide of how to compare a Schindler 3300 with Schindler 5500 elevator. Includes some of the known general facts discovered so far.

Clue 1: Directional arrow and LED font
In 3300, the arrow doesn't show up when the car is moving, it will show up when the car has stopped. The LED is thin. Also, the number quickly changes just as the car starts up.

In 5500, the arrow shows up everytime the car is moving, and will disappear a few seconds after it stops. Bolder LED, and the number doesn't change once the elevator starts.

Clue 2: Door motion sound
3300 elevators don't have distinctive door motion because they use Fermator and sometimes Sematic door operators. 5500 elevators have distinctive door motion sound because they use Wittur door operators.

Clue 3: Car station height, and is it flush or surface mounted?
3300 elevators have surface mounted and partial height car station, while 5500 elevators have flushed and full height panel.

Clue 4: Button illuminations
The buttona on 3300 elevators don't stay illuminate in white when not pressed, unlike 5500.

Clue 5: Hoisting machine
See video for detailed look.

Clue 6: MRL control box size and position
3300 control box is thin and integrated with the door frame. 5500 control box is larger and installed next to the landing door (just like 300P and 5400 AP MRL)

NOTE: Sometimes there are also some 5500s without white illuminating buttons and have thin LEDs. To confirm that they are really 5500, simply take a look whether the panel is flushed or not, listen to the door motion sound and look out for the arrow logic.

*Disclaimer: All of these comparisons are based on my obvervation so far, and some of them might be inaccurate so apologize if you find any of these incorrect.
