Evolution of Total Overdose (2005-2007)

Total Overdose: A Gunslinger's Tale in Mexico (commonly referred to as simply Total Overdose) is a third-person shooter open world action/adventure game. Players assume control of Ramiro, Tommy and Ernesto. The most playable character in the game is Ramiro, while Tommy and Ernesto can be played only in the two beginning missions. The game parodies Robert Rodriguez's Mexico Trilogy. Chili Con Carnage is a semi-sequel to the Total Overdose and it was released exclusively for the PlayStation Portable console. Total Overdose 2 was the cancelled sequel to Total Overdose that was in development but it was cancelled after Eidos pulled out of it and the critical and commercial failure of two-part game that tied with the 2009 film, Watchmen: The End is Nigh, that led to the developer Deadline Games being shut down after release.
