Here are the gorillas at The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo in their outdoors habitat. The gorillas seem comfortable sitting in the bright sunshine. The baby gorilla is named Kunda (the name Kunda means Love). Kunda was born on July 19, 2023. Her mom is Kebi (Kebi Moyo) and her dad is the leader of the troop - Mokolo.

Kayembe was the first zoo born gorilla born at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
Kunda is the second baby born in Cleveland in less then 2 years.

Birthdates: Mokolo 7/10/87, Fredrika 6/5/74, Nneka 9/23/98, Kebi 1/13/91/ Tusa 12/2/89, and Kayembe 10/26/21, and Kunda 7/19/23.

The Conservation status of the Western Lowland gorilla is “Critically Endangered”.
