Daido's OTHER Camera And What WE Can LEARN From The Master!

Good morning you awesome YouTube camera geeks! Today's episode focuses on one of the lesser known cameras used by Daido Moriyama, a world renowned Japanese street photographer.

Daido is well known for his use of the Ricoh GR-1 film camera in his film days but he's also used a lot of digital cameras for his iconic street work.

Today we focus on one of those "other" cameras, namely the Nikon Coolpix S9100 from 2011.

My first impressions of the Coolpix S9100 many years ago was that it was a cheap, generic point and shoot and so I was surprised when I first heard that Daido, a master photographer, was using it.

But the more I learned about the camera, the more I used it, the more I came to appreciate it and the more I learned about Daido's methodology with regards to camera and street shooting.
