Special Borthday Cake with Gold drip

Recipe & Process:

Marble Cake:-

Step 1: Take 1/4 cup of cocoa powder into a bowl, add 3 ounces of hot water, mix well and leave it aside.
Step 2: Take 3 cups of flour into a mixing bowl.
Step 3: Add 1 tablespoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 cups granulated sugar and mix well
Step 4: Add 8 ounces room trmperature butter, continue mixing.
Step 5: Add 6 ounces butter milk and continue mixing
Step 6: For remaining wet ingredients, take 8 ounces buttermilk, 5 ounces oil, 4 large eggs and combine them well.
Step 7: Add the egg mixture to the cake batter and mix well.
Now Vanilla cake batter is Ready!!

TIP: Buttermilk can be replaced with regular milk by adding vinegar.
( take equal quantity of milk and add 1/2 tablespoon vinegar)

Step 8: Take small portion of cake batter into a bowl and add the soaked cocoa powder to it, mix well.
Chocolate cake batter is Ready!!
Step 9: Take 3 prepared cake pans(8 inch), add vanilla and chocolate batters alternately. Using a stick, add marble pattern to the batter.
Step 10: Bake the cakes at 350F for 34-40 mins.

Buttercream Frosting:-
Step 1: Take 1 cup of room temperature butter into a mixing bowl and beat well (for about 7 mins)
Step 2: add 2 cups of powdered sugar, 1/4 tea spoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and mix well.
Step 3: Add 200 ml room temperature heavy whipping cream and continue mixing.
Butter cream & Whipping cream frosting is ready!!

TIP: If you observe curdling/any lumps in the frosting after adding the whipping cream, take small quantity into a bowl and microwave it and add the warm cream mixture back to mixing bowl and continue mixing.
The frosting will become smooth again.

Cake Assembly & Decoration:-
Step 1: level the cool cakes and stack them up by adding frosting in between the cakes.
Step 2: crumb coat the cake and put it in the refrigerator for some time.
Step 3: Add your favourite color to the remaining ftosting. Take out the cake and cover it up with frosting

TIP: If you want to have dark color to the frosting warm the frosting (microwave), cool it back and mix it.

Chocolate Drip:
Step 1: Take 1/2 cup chocolate chips into a bowl and add 3 tablespoons of whipping cream and microwave it, until the chocolate is fully melted. Mix it well.
Step 2: Take the mixture into a piping bag, cut a small hole to the tip and add tge drip to the cake.
Step 3: Set aside to harden the chocolate.

Edible gold:
Step 1: take edible gold powder into small bowl add 2 drops of oil and combine well.
Step 2: take a small paint brush and paint the hardened chocolate drip with gold paint.

Decorate the cake as desired with remaining frosting and golden sprinkles/ any of your choice.
