The Klark Teknik EQP-KT demo will give you the demonstration you need to learn more about the functions of this pro audio equipment.

The Klark Teknik EQP-KT is inspired by the world famous Pultec, the EQP-KT. The Pultec was used on some of the most well-known records. Ideally, you have the cash on hand and can find a working Pultec to invest.

The vintage models are without a doubt some of the most amazing pieces of equipment when it comes to sound improvement, but they are very rare and very expensive.

Enter the Klark EQP-KT review. Affordable, built around the same circuitry and easy to find! The question is can this “clone” deliver the same sound magic as the original circuitry did?

The Classic Tubes.

If you are just looking at the specs of this Pultec clone, than the conclusion would be that you would get the same mastering in the music studio from the clone that you would get from the original.

Klark choose the 12AX7 and 12AU7 tubes to get the warm sounds of the original, then they added a custom twist with the Midas transformers for input and output.

The combination does a nice job of delivering brilliant highs, low noise output, popping bass and more.

If you are strictly looking for an equalizer that performs amazing and that comes in at the right price point this is it. If you are looking for an equalizer that offers vintage sounds, this is it.

The classic tube design is a one that really delivers when it comes to the sound department.

Not Like Your Other Equalizers.

You do not need to be a pro-tools expert to notice right from the start that this equalizer is not like other music technology that you come across.

This has a 2-band design, that offers great flexibility in low shelving and offers a broad midrange bandwidth. The attenuate and boost controls are independent of each other which allows you to boost and attenuate at the same time.

You can cut at 5K and boost at 12KHZ, which lets you seamlessly add air without the increase of presence.

Here are some of the features:
• 1-channel, 2-band
• Class A circuitry
• Frequency selectors that are switchable

• 7 Frequency points
• Inductor based circuitry
• A/B comparison with bypass feature

• Transformer-balanced I/O on Neutrik XLR connectors
• Rugged chassis for 2U mounting
• Auto-ranging universal switch-mode power supply

It comes ready to get busy and deliver unmatched sounds. The simple style and durable chassis take the guess work right out of whether it is built to last and whether it can take the torment of constant use.

It can stand up to whatever you have to dish out and it seems like it will be around for a good long time.

Easy to Master.

One of the best things about this equalizer is that it is easy to master. The knobs are logically laid out and it is easy to manage for even the novice user. There is no learning curve really if you have even a little studio experience.

Overall.

The jury is in and the verdict is that this is a clone worth having on the rack. It delivers exactly as promised and there really is not much room for improvement.

The price is a tremendous savings, the sound is a great vintage sound and it is easy to use. What more could you want from an equalizer?

Watch the video demo and decide for yourself if this clone delivers on the Pultec name and history, I think it did and I think you will too. This equalizer can hold its own even when put up against some really high end gear.

Any questions? Any comments? Leave them in the comment space below, I love to hear from other producers and what they think about the music technology I review.
