Her father rejects marriage proposals on her behalf to respect her desire to become a yogini. She starts an ashram, which is spotted one day by Ravana travelling in his arial car. He stops by and requests refuge in the ashram. Being a brahmin and a vedic scholar, he is welcomed into the ashram life for the day. They have discussions on spiritual ascent and other appropriate matters. Impressed by Vedavati's disposition, learning and beauty, he proposes marriage. She refuses, and he tries to force her to comply. She immolates herself to save her chastity, promising Ravana - she will return and become the cause of his destruction. Epilogue: She is born as Shri Sita, gaining her union with Shri Vishnu as her desire was, being wife to Shri Rama.
