The hike up Mount Jezerski in Lovcen National Park in southern Montenegro is a real beauty – with some of the most stunning views in Europe from the viewing platform at the top. Best hike in Europe? It's certainly in my Top 10, and at a 3-hour round trip, it's one of the easiest you'll make for one of the most amazing views around.

Walk with me all the way as I set off from the trailhead and climb to 1,657m, to the mausoleum at the top where Petar II Petrović-Njegoš is commemorated – Montenegro's greatest poet, philosopher and ruler.
