Follow along as Terry Sambolec, Instructor in the School of Transportation, conducts a research project to discover how an unstructured lab sheet can increase student performance. Instead of using structured lab sheets, he gave his students open-ended ones. This made students apply their own skills that they learned in class and collaborate together while thinking critically to problem solve. As a result, student were much more engaged, and their grades reflected it. This gave the students more opportunities to think outside the box and make their education more relatable to their jobs.
