The entire area has been quarantined - nobody aside from Miller and the crew of the Rocinante are anywhere near Eros. The alien protomolecule has decimated everything inside the station, leaving everyone dead and the walls coated in alien goo. But as the massive ship Nauvoo approaches to knock the infected Eros into the sun, at the moment of impact - Eros moves out of the way.
